Located in Gaya, Bihar, the (lit. 'temple of Vishnu's feet') is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is built on the banks of the Phalgu River and is renowned for enshrining a 40-centimeter footprint of the deity etched in solid basalt rock.

The temple is a prominent spiritual destination, especially for those seeking to perform ancestral rites. 

Timings: Generally open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Some sources note an afternoon break or extended hours during peak festivals.

Best Time to Visit: September to April offers pleasant weather. The Pitru Paksha Mela (Sept–Oct) is the most significant time for rituals, though it is extremely crowded.

Prohibitions: Mobile phones, cameras, and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
